About One Voice For Vets
We are Veterans who saw the need at the Connecticut State Veterans Home and realized the State does not have the money to invest in the needed upgrades. So after thinking about this together we decided to create this non-profit to start getting needed projects completed. The Connecticut Department of Veteran Affairs Director of Project Management here is also an architect and estimates that it would take over 100 million dollars to bring this entire 80-year-old facility up to date. This seems like an overwhelming task to take on.
However, we have a firm belief in Americans being willing to help out those in need even when the need is as great as this. Before we are done we hope to be able to complete all the needed upgrade projects here at the State Veterans Home. We are just a group of retired Veterans who want to help our brothers and sister Veterans to live their lives with the dignity and respect that they deserve.
Each and every Veteran offered at one point to die to protect our country and no matter what else has happened to them in their lives, that one act, deserves our respect and gratitude. To that end, we are going to work tirelessly to see that both State and Federal best practices are met for each and every Veteran that we can possibly help.
